After studying graphic design and typography Ben landed his first job as a designer at an advertising agency and developed skills in art direction. Working closely with directors on numerous award-winning ad campaigns, he began to direct commercials himself. Experimenting with CGI and film-making techniques led him to direct his first short ‘Modern Times’. Epic and ambitious in execution it has resulted in worldwide attention from the film industry and from HLA who signed him exclusively for commercials representation.
John’s succesful directing credits cover award winning commercials, Frozen in Doubt for Leo Burnett; music videos for Arctic Monkeys, Noel Gallagher and many others. Documentary, Follow the Money was recently nominated for best documentary at LA Film Review; as well as theatre and television. John has recently completed projects for Waterwipes 'One Born Every Minute' and directed the new comedy 'Delicious' starring Dawn French. His dedication to visually engaging images and his empathy with actors and their craft shines through in the work.
A talented filmmaker & photographer, Justin cut his teeth working as an editor and camera operator on campaigns for clients including Sony, Canon & Nokia. He signed to HLA in 2011 on the back of his stunning short film, Method Actor, which features a compelling performance from renowned thespian John Shrapnel. This quickly led to a TV/online project for Skoda with Fallon, and a succesion of films for Zurich insurance, Swiss Air and Grand Marnier. Going on to worked with Y&R New York for the US launch commercial for the Range Rover Evoque followed by several high profile spots for O2 with VCCP.
His much-admired approach and skill for finding magic in the most surprising of places has seen him win countless awards. 'Stories Are Waiting' for Eurostar and Army 'Boots' have both won gold at British Arrows and Campaign have again confirmed him as one of the top 10 directors in London. Most recently he has completed projects for The Guardian, TUI, and Amazon.
Tom has directed numerous commercials for clients such as Sainsbury’s, Quaker, BT, Coca Cola and Aviva. Tom has also directed and shot documentaries for charities around the world and music videos for artists such as Tanita Tikaram and Rod Stewart. Tom has had two photographic exhibitions exhibited in London, Birmingham and Belfast. He has had work published in the Guardian and The Independent on Sunday and his portrait work has been exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery.
Will began his career as a photographer documenting people living on the fringes of society. He has produced several seminal and highly acclaimed books, his photographic coverage of notoriously clandestine subcultures becoming hugely successful. His foray into film has found him wide acclaim including six Vimeo ‘Staff Picks’. His recent projects continue his interest in people who are urban outsiders, with his short film ‘Chi Raq’ becoming a ‘YouTube’ phenomenon and being nominated at the Brooklyn Film Festival. His foray into advertising came with his success at the 'Cannes Young Directors Awards’ after which came films for Fairtrade and Nike.
